Luvenia Hall is the mother of Iburia Hall-Haynes, Ph.D.
Mrs. Hall was an active member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Leeds, Alabama where she served as a member of the Pastor’s Aid Committee. She attended public school in Jefferson County and is a graduate of Poro Beauty College. After graduating from Poro, she became a member of the Southern Beauty Congress Specialty Board. She received her B.S., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees in Cosmetology. She was one of the first African American small business owners in Leeds. She retired from Fendley Dental Clinic as a Dental Lab Technician. Sister Hall was a member of:

She was married to the late Lathus Hall, I, a former World War II Veteran, and she has four (4) children, nine (9) grandchildren, and two (2) great grandchildren. They are: son, Donnie Fuller (Brenda); daughter, Linda Jackson; son, Lathus Hall, II (Velma); daughter, Iburia Hall-Haynes, Ph.D., (Edwin).
Her grandchildren are: Allen Fuller, Valerie Fuller Carr, Cassandra Jackson Wallace, Wanda Jackson Turner, Lathus Hall, III, LeonaShay Hall, LaVrentti Hall, Brandon Hall, Edwin L. Haynes, II and Edneka L. Haynes.
Sister Hall is a testimony of God’s Grace and a daily demonstrator of love and kindness. She has truly been a blessing to all who knew her.
